The Z Format

Overview
The Z Document Format is an ongoing work-in-progress by the Z Initative, founded by David Kristensen and Dan Ponte. The language is based on XML, DocType, and ideologically in TeX, although the syntax is simpler, and the features, we're looking to add are more sophisticated and featured than anything any typesetting language has supported before. Most notably, we're looking to make Z turing-complete.

Language Features
- Complete formatting support
- Image support
- Macro support
- Translation to XHTML 1.1 and RTF 1.5

Example syntax
<title>Example Document</title>
<header>Example Document Header</title>
<text>
  This is text in a Z Document

<define:Test-Macro> Macro Contents </define>

Print the macro:
<.print:Test-Macro>
